Analytics DeveloperReporting to the Manager, Enterprise Analytics, the Analytics Developer contributes to the development, enhancement, and support of Albany's enterprise analytics ecosystem, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft technologies. This role works within an established architecture to deliver and optimize Microsoft-based analytics solutions, leveraging SAP as the primary enterprise data source, particularly from the SAP S/4HANA platform.The role supports ongoing modernization initiatives through the adoption of Microsoft's analytics stack, including Microsoft Fabric and Azure-based services, helping to integrate SAP data into a scalable, governed, and high-performing data platform. While SAP remains the core system of record, this position focuses on building and maintaining data pipelines, models, and reporting solutions within the Microsoft ecosystem, with occasional use of third-party tools as required.Additionally, the developer applies established standards, architectural patterns, and governance practices to ensure consistency, quality, and alignment with Albany's analytics strategy and evolving business needs, while collaborating closely with team members, architects, and stakeholders to deliver effective data and analytics solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport and enhance existing Microsoft BI solutions across SQL Server, SSAS, and SSRS, ensuring performance, reliability, and data accuracyContribute to the migration of legacy analytics assets to Microsoft Fabric, including data models, data pipelines, and reporting solutionsDevelop and maintain scalable data models and semantic layers that transform enterprise data (e.g., SAP) into analytics-ready structuresBuild and support data ingestion and transformation pipelines within the Microsoft ecosystemDevelop and maintain dashboards and reporting solutions to enable business insights and self-service analyticsAssist in integrating Microsoft AI capabilities (e.g., Microsoft Fabric AI features, Azure AI services, and Foundry) into analytics workflows to enhance insights and automationApply established standards and best practices for data modeling, performance optimization, and development lifecycle managementCollaborate with team members, architects, and stakeholders to deliver analytics solutions aligned with business requirementsSupport data governance, security, and compliance requirements across analytics platformsIn performing their respective tasks and duties, all employees are expected to adhere to Albany's current values: Albany Wins Together, Count on Each Other, Own Your Actions, Care About Each Other, and Share Your Enthusiasm.

Employees are also responsible for the health and safety of themselves and each other.Desired SkillsUnderstanding of business processes and KPIs in a manufacturing or enterprise environment5+ years of experience developing analytics and reporting solutions in an enterprise Microsoft data environmentHands-on experience with SQL and Microsoft BI technologies (SSAS, SSRS, or similar), supporting enterprise-scale reporting solutionsExperience working with ERP solutions, specifically SAP S/4HANA data as a source for analytics and reporting solutionsExposure to modern Microsoft analytics tooling such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, or Power BI within implementation or support rolesWorking knowledge of data modeling concepts including dimensional modeling, basic semantic layer design, and ETL/ELT processesFamiliarity with data pipeline development, orchestration concepts, and performance optimization in data workflowsUnderstanding of data governance, security, and compliance practices in enterprise environmentsAbility to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams and contribute to delivery of larger analytics programsUS citizen or permanent resident Preferred:Experience integrating SAP CDS views, ABAP-managed CDS, and OData with modern data lake architectures.Familiarity with CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code, and FinOps for cloud analytics costKnowledge of compliance frameworks (SOX, CMMC) and coordination with GIS Compliance and Cybersecurity.The BenefitsReverse commute to the New Hampshire seacoast area.
