We are partnering with a consulting firm seeking a Senior Power BI Consultant/Architect to support enterprise clients across a range of data and analytics initiatives. This individual will operate as a hands‑on architect, owning end‑to‑end Power BI solution design while also contributing directly to dashboard development, UX/UI, and stakeholder‑facing deliverables.
This role is ideal for someone who can bridge data architecture, business intelligence strategy, and front‑end visualization, while operating effectively in a client‑facing consulting environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and design enterprise‑grade Power BI solutions, including data models, semantic layers, and scalable reporting frameworks
- Build and enhance interactive dashboards and reports, with a strong emphasis on UX/UI, usability, and executive‑level storytelling
- Translate complex business requirements into intuitive, high‑impact visualizations
- Develop and optimize DAX calculations, Power Query (M), and data transformations
- Partner with data engineering teams to ensure alignment with data pipelines, warehousing, and governance frameworks
- Establish and enforce best practices for Power BI architecture, performance tuning, and data governance
- Support client workshops, demos, and executive presentations as a trusted advisor
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership across engagements
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in Business Intelligence / Data Analytics, with deep specialization in Power BI
- Proven experience operating at the Architect level, designing scalable BI solutions for enterprise environments
- Strong hands‑on expertise with:
- Power BI (Service, Desktop, Dataflows)
- DAX and Power Query (M)
- Data modeling (star schema, semantic models)
- Experience integrating Power BI with modern data platforms (e.g., Azure, Snowflake, SQL Server, Databricks)
- Demonstrated ability to deliver both backend architecture and frontend dashboard development
- Strong understanding of data governance, security (RLS), and performance optimization
- Experience working in a client‑facing consulting or advisory capacity
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non‑technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric or Azure Synapse Analytics
- Familiarity with data engineering concepts (ETL/ELT pipelines, lakehouse architecture)
- Background supporting large‑scale enterprise or Fortune 500 clients
- Experience designing executive dashboards and KPI frameworks
- Microsoft certifications (e.g., PL-300, Azure Data certifications)
