Our client is seeking a Business Development Analyst to support the firm's business development efforts through market research, competitive intelligence, data analysis and opportunity identification. This individual will work closely with senior business development professionals and internal teams to monitor clients, prospects, industries and market trends and translate findings into actionable insights.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research on clients, prospects, companies, industries and market developments to identify potential business opportunities
- Monitor relevant news, market activity and industry trends and communicate key developments to internal stakeholders
- Perform competitive intelligence and market research to support business development initiatives
- Analyze internal and external data to identify trends, opportunities and relationship-building opportunities
- Synthesize information from multiple sources into clear, concise and actionable presentations, reports and summaries
- Support senior business development professionals with pitches, presentations, strategic initiatives and other client-facing materials
- Maintain prospecting databases, tracking tools, research resources and other business development materials
- Collaborate with internal research and business intelligence teams on more in-depth company, industry and market research
- Develop a strong understanding of internal systems, data sources and research platforms
- Work across multiple projects and teams while managing competing priorities and deadlines
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in business development, competitive intelligence, market research, research/analysis or a related field
- Strong research, analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to synthesize complex information and communicate it clearly
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with professionals at all levels
- High level of discretion and sound judgment when handling confidential information
- Experience with business, financial, legal or market intelligence platforms is a plus
- Comfortable learning new technologies, research tools and internal systems
- Interest in using AI and other technology to improve research and business development processes
