Business Development Representative (BDR)As a Business Development Representative (BDR) at PuroClean Emergency Restoration Services, you play a key role in driving revenue by building strong, lasting relationships with high-value clients and referral partners. Your primary goal is to become the trusted go-to for disaster restoration services in your territory, aligning your efforts with our mission, core values, and structured sales process.Core Qualities of a Successful BDR at PuroClean:Positive, self-motivated, and enthusiasticA natural leader and hard workerEfficient, organized, and decisive under pressurePunctual and reliableProfessional and respectful to team members, clients, and company propertyTeam-oriented and collaborativePassionate about personal and team successRepresents our company with integrity and pride in all interactionsKey Responsibilities:Develop and maintain profitable relationships with key referral sources such as: Property Managers, Insurance Agents/Brokers, Adjusters, General Contractors, Business Owners, Healthcare Facilities, Colleges, etc.Execute 3–5 discovery ("probe") meetings per week, logged and tracked in CRMIdentify and secure new business through prospecting, cold calling, and outreachCollaborate with local managers to plan and execute marketing campaignsHost and coordinate educational and promotional events (e.g., CE classes, lunch & learns)Maintain contracts, memberships, and referral networksServe as the main liaison between PuroClean and insurance-related contactsMaintain clean and organized vehicles and workspacesSupport teammates by sharing industry knowledge and best practicesUse provided software tools effectively in your daily workflowSales Process & Expectations:40-hour workweek, flexible based on events, appointments, or seasonal demandsUse location marketing budget responsibly to build high-quality client relationshipsAll expenses must be pre-approved and documented; larger expenses (over $250) must be approved through the Accounts Payable processBudgets will be reviewed quarterly and may be adjusted accordinglyTerritory & Prospecting Duties:Build and maintain a list of up to 250 target contacts (to be refined over time)Visit each contact at least once per quarter, always with a meaningful interactionFollow up with clients on every referred job, adjusting frequency per client preferenceTrack all sales visits and meaningful conversations in CRM, tagging your direct reportFocus on 100–150 high-value, active relationships that consistently generate workCreate and maintain sales routes targeting a mix of verticals (e.g., insurance, property management, healthcare, education, commercial, residential)Reporting & CRM Usage:Share your weekly calendar with management.Log all visits in CRM with detailed notes — no "drop-offs" without engagementRegularly identify and prioritize decision-makers within your territoryCome to each weekly meeting with a brief report on wins, updates, and challengesPresentation & Professionalism:Maintain a clean, professional appearance appropriate to the activity or eventBusiness casual is expected for client visits and professional appointmentsAttire may vary appropriately for specific events (e.g., golf outings, volunteer days)Follow all dress and conduct policies as outlined in the employee handbookCompensation: Commission & Bonus Structure:2% commission on the gross estimate/invoice for referred jobs performed by PuroCleanCommission is paid monthly, after the job is paid in full and closed outA job is commission-eligible if: 1) The referring contact is assigned to you in CRM and you have logged activity/visits with the contact within the past 90 daysA commission report must be completed and approved by management.Final Notes:At PuroClean, success is about more than just numbers.
