This includes managing the global development, prioritization and deployment of marketing strategies and tactics, developing and executing sales training, improving sales and commercial execution.
Additionally, this role works in close collaboration with laboratory, portfolio and activation marketing, sales and division management to achieve these outcomes. This position is part of the Business Development and Customer Solutions team and will report into the Global Business Development Leader.As a Business Development Manager, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:Lead and implement sales and marketing programs to support IATD's Industrial Design and Assembly Solutions program for bonding tapes and adhesives.Global Marketing campaign leadership, planning, and coordination.Support new or improved business processes to improve marketing and commercial execution of divisions strategic priorities, delivering sales growth.Scope, resource, manage and track multiple projects.Performing market research and analysis to validate defined opportunities by clearly defining, understanding and engaging the eco-system value chain, potential partners, and collaborative customers.Support successful execution of NPIs.Work globally to drive aligned, consistent approach.Your Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institutionMinimum of ten (10) years of sales, product management, marketing or business development experience in a private, public, government or military environmentAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Master's degree or higherExperience with adhesives and tape technologiesProject or program leadership experienceInternational or global job experienceSales or sales management experienceAbility to work as an influencer, stakeholder, leader or team member in a global matrix organizationProven success engaging technical customer personas.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Action oriented with an emphasis on execution and results.Work location:Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to 3M Center, Maplewood at least 3 days per week)3M Center, Maplewood, MNTravel: May include up to 20% domestic or international travelRelocation Assistance: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being3M offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially.
