The Opportunity
An established UK-based design and build specialist is seeking a Business Development Manager to join its growing commercial team. The business delivers bespoke, high-value outdoor environments for schools, local authorities, and leisure operators, with projects typically ranging from £50k to multi‑million‑pound developments .
This is a consultative, solutions‑led sales role , not a hard‑sell environment. Most opportunities are generated through inbound enquiries, referrals, and long‑term relationships, giving you the scope to focus on understanding client needs, shaping creative solutions, and guiding projects from initial concept through to delivery.

The Role
You will take ownership of your own pipeline and region, acting as a trusted advisor to clients and working closely with in‑house designers to bring bespoke outdoor spaces to life.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for new enquiries, qualifying and developing opportunities
- Collaborate with designers to co‑create tailored solutions
- Manage a structured sales pipeline from enquiry to order
- Build long‑term relationships with schools, councils, and leisure operators
- Use CRM tools to track activity, forecast revenue, and identify trends
- Attend client meetings, site visits, and industry events as required
About You
You are likely to be:
- Experienced in consultative or solution‑based sales
- Based anywhere in the UK
- Highly organised, detail‑oriented, and process‑driven
- Confident using CRM systems to manage pipelines and performance
- Interested in or knowledgeable about outdoor play, timber structures, sustainable design, or public realm projects
- Proactive in nurturing existing relationships while developing new opportunities
- Able to work independently in a results‑driven environment

- Base salary of £40,000 – £45,000 depending on experience
