Business Development Manager - LitigationThe Business Development Manager - Litigation is an integral part of Latham's Business Development team. This role will be responsible for supporting the market's growth strategy and commitment to client service across the relevant practice group and industries, while developing a comprehensive understanding of lawyers and clients to drive strategic priorities, including client engagement and relationship building. This role will be located in our New York office.

Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.Other key responsibilities include:Providing research, analysis, and reporting to support the identification and development of new clients and the enhancement of existing client relationshipsPlaying an active role in the integration of lateral partners and the development of junior partnersCollaborating with lawyers and the Business Development and Brand & Communications teams on speaking opportunities, seminars, and sponsorships, webinars, and other visibility initiativesIdentifying unique or compelling thought leadership opportunities, such as client alerts and publications, webcasts, and seminars, communicating these opportunities to relevant lawyers and Business Development team members, and overseeing implementation and execution, as appropriateDeveloping a systematic and strategic approach for disseminating passes to practice groups sponsoring conferences and organizationsProtecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retainsWe'd love to hear from you if you:Possess knowledge of core business development and marketing principles, including market research, competitive intelligence, pitches, internal and external communication, public relations, seminar/event planning and brandingExhibit excellent leadership skills, including organizing, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making necessary for effective managementDemonstrate well-developed and professional interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firmAnd have:A bachelor's degree or equivalentA minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible business development and marketing experience in legal/professional servicesA minimum of five (5) years of cumulative experienceSuccessful candidates will not only be provided with an outstanding career opportunity and welcoming environment, but will also be provided with a generous total compensation package with bonuses awarded in recognition of both individual and firm performance.
