Business Development Manager

About the Role

Robert Half is looking for a Business Development Manager to join our Human Resources, Administrative & Customer Support team in the East Valley of Greater Phoenix. This is a client-facing role for someone who enjoys developing new business, building long-term relationships, and connecting companies with skilled human resources, recruiting, administrative, and customer support professionals. You’ll work in a collaborative team environment while developing relationships with HR Directors, HR Managers, Talent Acquisition Leaders, Operations Executives, Customer Service Managers, business owners, and other decision-makers. The role combines business development, consultative sales, recruiting, and account management, with a focus on growing our presence throughout the East Valley, including Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa, Tempe, and surrounding communities.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business through prospecting, client meetings, networking, and relationship building
• Build and grow relationships with new and existing clients throughout the East Valley
• Meet with HR leaders and hiring managers to understand their business, hiring challenges, and workforce needs
• Recommend staffing solutions based on each client's specific needs and priorities
• Recruit, interview, and evaluate professionals across human resources, talent acquisition, administrative, and customer support functions
• Match qualified professionals with contract, project, and contract-to-hire opportunities, including HR Generalists, HR Business Partners, HR Coordinators, Recruiters, Talent Acquisition Specialists, Executive Assistants, Administrative Assistants, Customer Service Representatives, and Office Managers
• Manage client and candidate relationships throughout active engagements
• Build a strong pipeline of prospective clients and qualified talent
• Partner across Robert Half to provide clients with additional staffing and talent solutions

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred

Required Skills

• 2+ years of business development, B2B sales, account management, recruiting, staffing, or related experience preferred
• Demonstrated success developing new business in a metrics-driven environment
• Experience prospecting and building relationships with multiple decision-makers
• Strong communication, negotiation, and consultative selling skills
• Comfortable with outbound business development and in-person client meetings throughout the East Valley
• Experience selling staffing, workforce solutions, or professional services is helpful, but not required
• Knowledge of human resources, talent acquisition, administrative operations, or customer support is a plus
• Salesforce or other CRM experience is a plus
