Business Development ExecutiveWe are seeking a Business Development Executive to support our DHS efforts in the Washington DC area. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of proven experience with Tribal 8a or Alaskan Native Corporation direct award process and the Shipley-based competitive bidding process. The successful candidate deeply understands the government contracting landscape, has a proven track record of winning contracts through competitive bidding processes and 8a direct awards, and has a strategic mindset to identify and pursue new business opportunities.Responsibilities:Identify channels to markets through existing relationships and/or traditional methods of growing and shaping a pipeline. Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to drive growthCultivate relationships with key stakeholders in government agencies, prime contractors, and industry partners to identify potential business opportunitiesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to develop compelling proposals that address client needs and differentiate our from competitorsConduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, potential competitors, and areas for differentiationDrive revenue growth by achieving submit and win targets and expanding our portfolio of government contracts and new market areasRepresent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to promote our capabilities and establish thought leadershipStay abreast of regulatory changes, policy updates, and government initiatives that may impact the government contracting landscapeProvide regular updates on business development activities, pipeline status, and revenue forecasts to senior managementQualifications:10 years of experience in the Business Development arena.
Proven track record of wins in business development within the government contracting sector via 8a direct awards as well as competitive competition. In-depth knowledge of federal acquisition regulations (FAR) and government procurement processes. In-depth knowledge of the Shipley based capture/proposal model. Strong network of contacts within government agencies, prime contractors, and industry associations.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and develop actionable plans to capitalize on them. Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance (if required). Ability to acquire a Top Secret clearance.
