Business Development Director – Water/Wastewater

Location: Tampa, Florida

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Director to lead growth across the Florida Water/Wastewater market. This individual will be responsible for developing key client relationships, identifying and qualifying opportunities, and leading capture and pursuit strategies from initial engagement through award.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute regional W/WW business development strategies.
• Build relationships with municipal owners, engineers, OEMs and industry partners.
• Identify, qualify and prioritize new project opportunities.
• Lead capture planning, Go/No-Go decisions and pursuit strategy.
• Coordinate proposals, interviews and positioning with operations, preconstruction and marketing teams.
• Track market intelligence, capital improvement programs and competitor activity.
• Maintain an accurate opportunity pipeline and CRM.
• Represent the business at client meetings and industry events.
• Mentor and support regional business development staff.

Requirements

• 10+ years of business development, engineering or construction experience.
• Strong background in water/wastewater construction or engineering.
• Understanding of W/WW treatment processes, technologies and project delivery methods.
• Proven track record developing client relationships and winning projects.
• Strong knowledge of the Florida/Southeast W/WW market preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Marketing or related discipline preferred.
• Strong communication, leadership and commercial skills.
