Responsibilities
- Create and implement market and product line business plans to drive growth in Defense & Aerospace segments.
- Analyze market data, identify trends, and assess the competitive landscape.
- Lead the identification, development, and execution of strategic partnerships with aerospace and defense primes, emerging technology firms, and government agencies.
- Shape long‑term growth through technology commercialization, M&A, and partnership initiatives.
- Define and communicate Saab’s value proposition to customers and partners.
- Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders and influence customer requirements.
- Support capture efforts and proposal development, identify deal challenges, and shape win strategies.
- Conduct partnership, make‑vs‑buy, and joint‑venture analyses to support strategic decision‑making.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience developing partnerships/collaboration with top‑tier aerospace or defense primes.
- Experience developing partnerships with emerging tech companies in surveillance and/or aerospace.
- Track record with government agencies in acquiring development funding.
- Demonstrated expertise in emerging aircraft and surveillance technologies.
- Experience with defense acquisition processes and supply chains.
- Expertise in M&A and/or strategic partnerships.
- Significant experience in developing technology/concepts into long‑term production programs.
- Ability to develop new lead generation and business opportunities through supplier, government, industry, or customer engagements.
- Active Top Secret clearance required.
Desired Experience
- Thought leadership and idea generation with end users/customers.
- Strategy development, economic/financial acumen, and investment business‑case development.
- Global experience influencing cross‑functional/matrix teams.
- Deep knowledge of defense acquisition processes.
- Previous operational experience and ability to develop conops for multiple use cases.
