The ideal candidate will direct the business development activities of the organization and drive the sales business. They play a key role in the company and in the generation of new business. This individual will also be responsible for managing marketing and customer service activities.
Responsibilities
- Drive CDMO business development in US/EU markets for small molecules, peptides, and APIs—identify client needs and secure R&D/manufacturing projects.
- Lead high-level negotiations with pharma companies and research institutes to finalize agreements and ensure smooth project execution.
- Expand networks with key decision-makers in the European and US pharmaceutical industries, building a sustainable CDMO project pipeline.
- Develop business proposals including financial analysis, risk assessment, and market strategies for senior management review.
- Oversee contract drafting, review, and execution in compliance with international regulations and company policies.
- Maintain long-term global client relationships, track project progress, and optimize strategies to meet sales and growth targets.
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory updates, and competitor activities to support strategic planning.
Qualifications
- Master's or PhD in Organic Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related life science fields.
- Proven CDMO business development experience in US/EU markets with successful track record in small molecule, peptide, and API project acquisition.
- Strong C-level negotiation and cross-cultural communication skills.
- Solid knowledge of drug development, API/intermediate manufacturing, and global CDMO regulatory frameworks.
- Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.
- Willingness to travel frequently across the US and Europe.
