Business Development Director

Altru Rehabilitation Hospital seeks a Business Development Director to lead growth across inpatient and outpatient rehab services. This role designs and executes strategies to expand referral networks, develop new service lines, and strengthen relationships with physicians, payers, and community partners. The director will analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and collaborate with clinical and administrative leaders to align initiatives with our mission and patient needs. Success is measured by sustainable volume and revenue growth, enhanced market presence, and improved patient access to high-quality rehabilitative care in a compassionate, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute growth strategies to expand rehab service lines and referral networks
• Build and manage relationships with physicians, payers, post-acute providers, and community partners
• Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and service demand to identify new opportunities
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative leaders to align growth plans with patient needs and hospital strategy
• Set and track volume, revenue, and outreach targets; report performance to leadership
• Lead business development campaigns, outreach initiatives, and community engagement efforts
• Support contract negotiations, partnerships, and affiliation agreements
• Oversee development of marketing and outreach materials in coordination with marketing teams
• Use data and KPIs to measure program effectiveness and optimize initiatives
• Coach and mentor team members to support a high-performance, patient-centered culture

Educational Requirements & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, marketing, or related field
• Master’s degree in business or healthcare administration preferred
• Track record of driving volume and revenue growth in healthcare services
• Knowledge of rehabilitation, post-acute, or hospital service lines preferred
