Business Development DirectorOur client is a well-established and growing provider of industrial services supporting manufacturing and production facilities across a broad regional footprint. They are known for delivering high-quality solutions, maintaining strong client partnerships, and operating with a consistent focus on safety, efficiency, and operational excellence.As the organization continues to expand, our client is seeking a driven and strategic Business Development Director. This role will focus on identifying new business opportunities, strengthening key relationships, and driving revenue growth across priority markets.

The ideal candidate will bring strong industrial services experience, a proactive approach to business development, and the ability to align sales strategy with overall company objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify and develop new customer relationships across target industriesExecute outbound prospecting via phone, email, and in-person visitsGenerate and qualify opportunities leading to RFQs and new accountsBuild a consistent pipeline of prototype, short-run, and repeat production workDrive revenue growth and support capacity utilization goalsExecute a structured, repeatable sales process across the full pipelineMaintain accurate and disciplined CRM activity trackingManage opportunities from prospecting through RFQ, quoting, and closeFollow up on all quotes to improve conversion ratesMeet or exceed activity and performance KPIsExpand into new industries and reduce reliance on key accountsTarget OEMs, manufacturers, and repair/service organizationsRe-engage dormant and former customersDevelop subcontracting and partnership opportunities with complementary shopsPartner with technical teams to understand capabilities and constraintsPosition precision machining, short-run, and rapid-turn capabilities effectivelyMaintain a solution-oriented approach to opportunity qualificationCoordinate internally to address technical gaps when neededCommunicate core capabilities and value proposition clearlyPosition the company as a responsive, high-value manufacturing partnerLeverage speed, capacity, and problem-solving as key differentiatorsAlign sales activity with leadership and operational capacitySupport future sales team development as the function scalesContribute to a high-accountability, performance-driven cultureProvide market and customer feedback to leadershipIdentify opportunities to improve conversion, responsiveness, and experienceEnsure alignment between sales activity and production capabilityB2B business development experience in manufacturing, machining, or industrial sectorsProven hunter with ability to generate new business independentlyExperience with custom, short-run, or engineered solutionsStrong technical comprehension in a manufacturing environmentCRM and structured sales process experienceStrong communication and relationship-building skillsHighly accountable, self-directed, and results-drivenCNC, precision machining, or job shop experienceExisting industrial/manufacturing relationshipsExperience selling into OEMs or industrial service marketsRFQ-driven sales experience$50,000 - $60,000 a year *Earning potential up to $100K
