Join our team as the expert you are now and create your future.The Business Development Director is tasked with expanding Huron's healthcare payer practice business by acquiring new clients and nurturing existing partnerships.

This position may also include regional responsibilities as assigned by the company. You will be responsible for building and developing both new and current payor client relationships, engaging key leadership and decision-makers at various organizational levels (e.g., C-suite, stakeholders). If you're passionate about driving impactful solutions and believe in the power of collaboration, Huron offers a rewarding path forward.As the Business Development Director, you will:Drive revenue, profit, and sales growth by expanding business with existing clients and developing new accountsLeverage deep knowledge of Huron's payer practice offerings to align solutions with client and market needsCollaborate across Huron teams to design, sell, and deliver multidisciplinary upsell solutionsManage and grow strategic and key accounts, including leading account reviews and strategic planning sessionsBuild and maintain strong client relationships while consistently exceeding customer expectationsIdentify, pursue, and secure new payer clients to expand market presencePartner with leadership to develop proposals, presentations, and RFP responses; recommend optimal pursuit strategiesClearly articulate Huron's payer value proposition and differentiated capabilities in the marketplaceMonitor industry trends and recommend innovative growth strategiesMaintain an accurate and active sales pipeline in Salesforce to support forecasting and opportunity managementCollaborate with payer, digital, and healthcare consulting leaders to create integrated solutions that drive larger, longer-term engagementsRequirements:5+ years of sales experience in consulting, technology, staffing, or related fields; healthcare payer experience preferredProven success in a quota-based, leveraged compensation model aligned to growth goalsStrong consultative selling, client relationship management, and negotiation skillsResults-driven, goal-oriented, and resilient when facing obstacles or competing prioritiesHighly organized with strong prioritization, self-management, and attention to detailExcellent verbal and written communication skills; tactful and professionalDemonstrated commitment to customer satisfaction, retention, and peer leadershipExperience managing complex or challenging client negotiationsProficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM tools (Salesforce or similar)Established network of payer or digital healthcare client prospects preferredCollaborative team player with the ability to build relationships at all levelsBA/BS degree preferredOpen to any U.S.

location; travel as neededThe estimated base salary range for this job is $125,000 - $160,000, plus commissions. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that Huron reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes and required travel. This job is also eligible to participate in Huron's Business Development Commission Plan and Huron's benefit plans which include medical, dental and vision coverage and other wellness programs.Position Level: Senior ManagerCountry: United States of America
