Job Summary

Our Sales Administration/Operations Management function plays a critical role in enabling the success of the commercial organization by driving operational excellence, supporting business development, and ensuring seamless execution of sales processes. The Business Development (BD) Consultant role (Cnslt, Sales Operations Mgmt) serves as a key support partner to the BD team, developing proposal content, maintaining RFP assets, and enhancing the quality and effectiveness of customer‑facing deliverables in support of business development pursuits.

Responsibilities

  • Develops high‑quality proposal content by leveraging internal knowledge libraries, subject matter experts, and existing response assets.
  • Coordinates with BD and cross‑functional stakeholders to gather information, validate responses, and ensure timely submission of deliverables.
  • Reviews responses for completeness, consistency, accuracy, and adherence to client requirements to support development of a competitive response.
  • Conducts targeted research on key client contacts, therapeutic areas, competitors, and relevant market dynamics to support opportunity pursuits, solution positioning, and proposal development.
  • Exercises sound judgment in identifying issues, escalating risks, and recommending solutions to support pursuit success.
  • Synthesizes complex information from multiple stakeholders into clear, concise, and client‑focused deliverables.
  • Manages multiple concurrent pursuits and projects of varying complexity while balancing competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Completes work independently with strong attention to detail and receives general guidance on new or complex assignments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry or former RFP and Proposal writing / consulting experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, patient services, and commercial business development, with the ability to apply industry knowledge to proposal development and pursuit support.
  • Demonstrates ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment while managing competing priorities and timelines.
  • Resilient and adaptable, with a proactive mindset and strong follow‑through
  • Highly detail‑oriented with strong organizational, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Experience developing high‑quality written content, proposals, presentations, or client deliverables in a deadline‑driven environment.
  • Experience with RFP/proposal management systems preferred (e.g., Ariba, Coupa).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with cross‑functional stakeholders in a remote work environment.
  • Ability to travel occasionally (up to 10%) as business needs require.

Training and Work Schedules

Your new hire training will take place 8:00am‑5:00pm CST, mandatory attendance is required. This position is full‑time (40 hours/week). Employees are required to work Monday‑Friday, 8:00am‑ 5:00pm EST.

You will work remotely, full‑time. It will require a dedicated, quiet, private, distraction free environment with access to high‑speed internet. We will provide you with the computer, technology and equipment needed to successfully perform your job. You will be responsible for providing high‑speed internet.

Anticipated Hourly Range

Anticipated hourly range: $67,500- $96,300 Bonus eligible: No
