We are currently partnered with a leading software-focused private equity firm based in Atlanta seeking a Business Development Associate to join its growing team. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with seasoned investors and operators in a high-performance, collaborative environment.
The Business Development Associate will be responsible for:
- Identifying and engaging executives at software companies that align with the firm’s investment strategy
- Building and maintaining relationships with market intermediaries and industry participants
- Conducting market research and segment mapping to uncover new investment opportunities
- Prospecting using email, LinkedIn, phone, and other tools to qualify leads
- Supporting add-on acquisition strategies for portfolio companies
- Assisting the investment team during diligence through expert interviews and market analysis
The Business Development Associate should have/be:
- 1–3 years of experience in private equity, venture capital, investment banking, software sales, or business development
- Highly motivated, competitive, and goal-oriented with a strong sense of initiative
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Intellectually curious and detail-oriented
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with CRM and marketing automation tools is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree required with strong academic and professional performance
