Business Banker Opportunity

Angott Search Group is pleased to partner with a community bank client (under $1B in assets) serving the Chippewa Valley region in the search for a business banker.

This opportunity is ideal for a commercially focused professional who thrives on building relationships, driving new business, and maintaining a strong presence in the local market. The organization is deeply community-oriented and values bankers who are visible, engaged, and committed to supporting local businesses.

Responsibilities:

• Develop new business relationships and grow a commercial loan portfolio through proactive outreach and networking.
• Originate and structure commercial loans, including C&I and CRE transactions.
• Manage and expand existing client relationships by identifying cross-sell opportunities.
• Analyze financial statements, cash flow, and overall creditworthiness of borrowers.
• Partner with credit and internal teams to ensure sound underwriting and timely loan approvals.
• Represent the bank at community events, industry functions, and local organizations.
• Maintain a strong understanding of market trends and local business conditions.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of commercial lending or business banking experience.
• Demonstrated success in business development and originating new commercial loans (C&I, CRE, etc.).
• Strong credit analysis and financial acumen.
• Proven ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
• Active involvement in or willingness to engage with the local community.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
