Direct Counsel is seeking a Business & Tort Litigation Associate Attorney to join a prestigious Am Law firm in San Francisco, CA .
This is an exceptional opportunity for an attorney with 3-5 years of commercial litigation experience to join a highly regarded Business & Tort Litigation practice. The team represents clients in complex business disputes and commercial litigation matters, offering associates substantial client interaction, meaningful responsibility, and hands-on litigation experience in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities

• Represent clients in complex commercial and business litigation matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation filings.
• Conduct legal research and prepare strategic case analyses.
• Manage all phases of discovery, including document review, written discovery, and depositions.
• Participate in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation.
• Collaborate with clients and litigation teams to develop case strategy.
• Maintain direct client communication and assist in managing sophisticated litigation matters.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active membership in the California Bar .
• 3-5 years of commercial litigation experience.
• Strong legal research, analytical, drafting, and written advocacy skills.
• Deposition, hearing, and trial experience is preferred.
• Excellent academic credentials and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $260,000-$455,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
