Business Analyst - Remote / Telecommute

Job TitlePay Range: $30.00hr - $35.00hrRequirement/Must HavePrior experience in providing business analysis on a large-scale IT system or prior experience determining eligibility or supporting administration for the WIC program.Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of recent, relevant work experience.3+ years working in a Business Analyst position or 2+ years strong background in the WIC program.Experience defining business problems, gathering and documenting requirements, determining business solutions and verifying solutions meet requirements.Ability to handle a heavy workload with general direction.Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and in conjunction with team members.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Proficient problem-solving skills.Must be adaptable to change in a fast-paced environment.Strong understanding of SDLC methodology.Relationship management and facilitation skills.Strong decision-making ability.Must be detail oriented.Maintain confidentiality and exercising discretion is essential.ResponsibilitiesWork with the project team, business partners, and system vendor to gather and finalize business requirements.Gather information on existing business processes, analyze those processes, and suggest improvements and optimal system design to meet business needs.Actively participate in Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions for new systems and new functionality within existing systems.Review design documentation drafted by the system vendor for thoroughness and completeness to ensure no gaps in design.Draft test plans and test scenarios for the project and participate in system testing.Monitor and follow up on Risks, Action Items, and Decision (RAID) items for the project.Report on project status regularly to management.Collaborate with staff from other divisions on the project.Serve as a primary point of contact and Subject Matter Expert (SME) on new system modules and updates.Provide Maintenance and Operation Support for new Vendor Management Portal and Local Agency Portal.Nice to HavePrior experience determining eligibility for or supporting administration of the WIC program is preferred.Bachelor’s degree.SkillsBusiness Analysis.SDLC methodology.Requirement Gathering.JAD Sessions.Test Planning.System Testing.RAID Management.Relationship Management.Problem-solving.Stakeholder Communication.Qualification And EducationBachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
