Business Analyst

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a minimum of 4 years of professional experience to support business transformation, process optimization, technology initiatives, and data-driven decision-making within an enterprise environment.

This position offers an opportunity to collaborate with Business Operations, Information Technology, Product Management, Software Engineering, Finance, Data Analytics, and Project Management teams to identify business needs, evaluate operational challenges, and deliver practical solutions.

The Business Analyst will be responsible for gathering and documenting business requirements, analyzing workflows, supporting system implementations, and translating stakeholder expectations into clear functional specifications.

The ideal candidate combines strong expertise in Business Requirements Analysis, Process Mapping, Agile Methodologies, Stakeholder Engagement, SQL, Data Analysis, and Business Process Improvement with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, validate, and document business and functional requirements from stakeholders.
• Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and discovery sessions to identify business needs.
• Develop Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs), user stories, acceptance criteria, and process documentation.
• Analyze current business processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend measurable improvements.
• Translate business objectives into actionable requirements for technical and operational teams.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Project Managers, Developers, QA Engineers, and business stakeholders throughout project delivery.
• Support Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and Hybrid project methodologies.
• Perform data analysis using SQL, Microsoft Excel, Power BI, or comparable analytical tools.
• Develop process maps, workflow diagrams, use cases, and business process models.
• Support system integrations, enterprise application implementations, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Participate in solution design reviews, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and requirements validation.
• Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), test scenarios, defect tracking, and business sign-off activities.
• Maintain requirements traceability and ensure solutions align with approved business objectives.
• Prepare stakeholder presentations, status reports, and recommendations based on analytical findings.

Job Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in Business Analysis, Business Systems Analysis, Process Improvement, or a closely related role required.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Demonstrated experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and functional requirements.
• Strong understanding of Business Analysis methodologies, SDLC, Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
• Experience developing BRDs, FRDs, user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria, and workflow documentation.
• Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, or Azure DevOps.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and familiarity with SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or comparable analytical tools.
• Experience with business process mapping, gap analysis, root-cause analysis, and process optimization.
• Understanding of User Acceptance Testing, requirements traceability, and change management.
• Experience supporting enterprise software, business systems, or digital transformation initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with distributed teams.
• CBAP, CCBA, ECBA, PMI-PBA, or comparable business analysis certification is preferred.
• Familiarity with ERP, CRM, Salesforce, SAP, ServiceNow, or cloud-based enterprise applications is advantageous.

Working Conditions

• Remote position within the United States.

• Regular virtual collaboration with Business Operations, IT, Product Management, Finance, Project Management, and Software Engineering teams.
• Collaboration across multiple U.S. time zones may be required.
• Participation in requirements workshops, Agile ceremonies, project reviews, and stakeholder meetings.
• Occasional flexibility may be required during critical project milestones, system implementations, or UAT activities.
• Responsible handling of confidential business information, operational data, and enterprise documentation is required.
