Airline experience is a plus.Within this Technical Business Analyst role at United Airlines, you will be responsible for driving the identification of requirements across business units and identify substandard systems processes through evaluation of real-time data.
Serve as thought leader for technical business processes, developing forward-thinking systems prototypes that promote increased efficiency and productivity on multiple levels. You will define enhancements and requirements for the Travel Mobile team. This role will ensure that our investments into rebranding will meaningfully improve the experience of our customers and coworkers.Key Responsibilities:Create and implement precise management plans for every project, with attention to transparent communication at all levelsPerform, evaluate, and communicate thorough quality assurance at every stage of systems developmentPartner with other stakeholder teams across business units (i.e., sales, finance, security, compliance) to develop necessary analysis and documentation in a collaborative way, communicating effectively and efficiently with production, managerial, and executive teamsAuthor and update internal and external documentation, and formally initiate and deliver requirements and documentationAnalyze and define efficient, cost-effective solutions to support company objectives, CTP objectives, business processes and functional requirements all geared towards improving our customer’s journeyDefine and communicate the roadmap for services and applications within your domain; ensure the roadmap supports company objectives and aligns with company prioritiesMaintain capacity management plans for the team, ensuring roadmaps align with team capacityDefine and communicate deliverables that align with CTP roadmaps; confirm team capacity prior to communicating deliverablesUse detailed knowledge of service features and functions to assess scope and impact of business needsInteract with business partners, enterprise project teams, and channel teams to understand their needs and prioritiesWork with the analysts or Subject Matter Expert in the analysis of business processes and functional requirements to support user story generation and groomingWork with development teams to generate design documentsCreate, maintain, and prioritize product backlogRun (or ensure a Scrum Master runs) grooming sessions, iteration planning sessions and other agile ceremoniesMonitor progress of deliverables, keep dependent teams and projects informed on progress; take corrective action if deliverable cannot be met or if higher priorities disrupt prior commitmentsSupport the Enterprise Quality Assurance team to ensure they can properly perform function and non-functional testingReview and validate QA test plans; support the QA team during test executionCommunicate team progress, accomplishments and KPIs to upper managementDemonstrate an innovative mentality by staying aware of new developments within the product management spaceStay abreast of United’s business strategy, and other internal initiatives that intersect channel strategy and impact similar stakeholders.Required:Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or other related field or 8 years of equivalent work experience required.Solid knowledge of product management best practices, functional design and application delivery methodology7+ years of prior experience as a Product Manager working within an enterprise IT organizationExperienced working with Mobile App technologiesWhile not a developer, candidate should possess a high-level understanding of IT systems and architecture to support discussions and communicationsStrong multi-tasker, proven experience handling multiple roles and projects simultaneouslyExperience working with cross-functional, global teams to deliver commitments on-time and on-budgetExcellent analysis, problem solving and decision-making skillsAttention to detailProven analytical abilitiesProven experience in an analytics and systems development capacityPractical experience generating process documentation and reportsStrong communication skills – verbal, written, and presentationProficiency with Microsoft Office, Visio, and agile tools (JIRA, TFS/Azure DevOps)Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorshipSuccessful completion of interview required to meet job qualificationReliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the positionPreferred:Knowledge of project management methodology and some project management experienceExperienced with both agile and waterfallExperienced with User ExperienceExperience using JIRA and TFS/Azure DevOpsPrior experience with cloud (AWS) applicationsExperience with data analytics and business intelligence (BI) toolsAirline experience
