The BA will serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, and program leadership to ensure requirements are accurately captured, validated, and implemented in alignment with CMS standards. This role requires strong experience in healthcare systems, case management workflows, and data interoperability, along with the ability to operate in an Agile delivery environment.Lead requirements gathering sessions with CMS stakeholders and end usersTranslate business needs into functional and non-functional requirementsDevelop and maintain user stories and use casesProcess flowsEnsure traceability from requirements through testing and deploymentMaintain documentation required for audits and reviewsAnalyze and document end-to-end case management workflowsDefine data requirements and mapping logic across systemsCollaborate with data engineers on data models and reporting needsParticipate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews and retrospectivesMaintain and prioritize the product backlog with the Product OwnerSupport acceptance criteria definition and backlog groomingAct as a liaison between CMS stakeholders, developers, and QA teamsFacilitate workshops, demos, and requirements walkthroughsPrepare clear documentation and status updates for leadershipQualificationsBachelor's degree in business, healthcare, IT, or related field5+ years of Business Analyst experience (federal or healthcare preferred)Experience supporting CMS or similar federal health programsStrong knowledge of case management systems and workflowsExperience with Agile methodologiesExpertise with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOpsDirect experience supporting CMS initiativesPreferred QualificationsExperience with CMS programs or Medicaid/Medicare systemsExperience with healthcare data formats (CDA, HL7, FHIR)Agile certifications (e.g., SAFe, Scrum) certificationsSalary Description $110,000-$120,000
