Bus Driver - Temporary Continuous Recruitment
Perform bus driving responsibilities for the campus community. Days of work could include weekdays or weekends, depending on driver availability. Additional shifts may frequently be available based on campus transportation needs.

Major Responsibilities
- Drive a full‑size passenger bus over the road and on state facility grounds.
- Keep written records of trips, mileage and stop‑overs.
- Supervise loading and unloading of passengers and personal property.
- Perform preventative vehicle maintenance such as monitoring gauges, checking tire pressures, and maintaining fluid levels for radiators, batteries, and crankcases.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to operate vehicles safely and effectively and be aware of vehicle and traffic laws.
- Ability to perform routine maintenance and maintain a good working knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance procedures.
- Possession of a valid New York State CDL Class B driver’s license with passenger endorsement (without restrictions) required by the application deadline.
Successful candidates will be subject to the provisions of the Omnibus Transportation Employee Testing Act (OTETA), which requires pre‑employment and random drug and alcohol testing.
