Loan Operations SpecialistLocation: Johnston, RIDuration: 3-Month ContractPay Rate: $21.15/hr (W2)Schedule: 100% Onsite | Start time between 8:00 AM – 9:00 AMJob Summary: The Loan Operations Specialist provides research and analytical support for lending account reviews. This role involves recreating and verifying loan account histories, performing high-volume data entry, and researching payment activity to identify delinquency timelines. The position requires strict adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage repetitive tasks with high accuracy in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesRecreate and verify loan account history and statementsResearch loan accounts, credit lines, and payment/debit historyIdentify first delinquency dates through payment activity researchPerform data entry using locked Excel templates (no formula editing)Self-assign and process 20–100 accounts daily from a work queueConduct peer quality control (QC) reviews on team members' workFollow established SOPs and workflow proceduresCommunicate internally via Microsoft Teams and emailProvide feedback, ask questions, and collaborate with team membersRequired Skills & Experience1–2 years of experience in data entry, operations support, or financial servicesStrong attention to detail and accuracy in repetitive tasksAbility to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environmentProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and TeamsStrong organizational, time management, and internal communication skillsFamiliarity with loan, payment, or financial terminology preferredEducationHigh School Diploma or equivalentAdditional InformationStructured training provided, including SOP documentationPeer Quality Control (QC) is part of onboarding and ongoing workflowNo customer interaction; work is internal and team-focusedIn-person interviews preferred
