This position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate financial operations while providing exceptional service to students, families, and internal stakeholders.If you are analytical, organized, and enjoy taking ownership of processes while working collaboratively with others, we'd like to hear from you.What You'll Be DoingAs the Bursar, you'll oversee the day-to-day management of student financial accounts while ensuring compliance with institutional policies and federal regulations.

You'll serve as a key resource for students and staff while helping maintain accurate and efficient financial operations.You will:Manage and maintain student financial accounts and account recordsMonitor account balances and investigate and resolve discrepanciesCoordinate payment plans, account adjustments, and account maintenance activitiesCollaborate closely with Financial Aid and Educational Funding teams regarding disbursements, refunds, and account adjustmentsEnsure compliance with U.S. Department of Education Title IV regulations and institutional policiesProvide professional support and guidance to students, parents, and staff regarding billing, payments, and account questionsRespond to inquiries and resolve account-related issues in a timely and professional mannerMaintain strict confidentiality of student financial informationEnsure compliance with FERPA, institutional policies, and applicable federal and state regulationsPrepare reports related to receivables, collections, account activity, and financial operationsAssist with audits, compliance reviews, and financial reporting requirementsIdentify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to improve efficiency and accuracySupport technology upgrades, system testing, and enhancements related to student finance operationsProcess Return to Title IV (R2T4) calculations for withdrawn students within prescribed deadlinesInitiate refund communications, including withdrawn and dismissed student notifications to Accounting and Collections departmentsPerform additional projects and responsibilities as assignedMinimum RequirementsRequired:Minimum 3 years of related work experienceStrong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skillsDemonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including ExcelAbility to work independently in a fast-paced and changing environmentHigh attention to detail and commitment to accuracyAbility to handle sensitive financial information with discretion and professionalismStrong customer service skills with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and staffSelf-motivated with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlinesPreferred:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related fieldExperience in higher education, student accounts, financial aid, or bursar operationsExperience working with Title IV regulations and student financial complianceTelecommunications industry experience is helpful but not requiredWhy Work With Us?You'll join a team committed to supporting student success through sound financial stewardship, exceptional service, and regulatory compliance.This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working closely with Financial Aid, Accounting, Academic, and Student Services teams.
