Burn Table OperatorThe Burn Table Operator is primarily responsible for operating plasma or gas burning table equipment to cut and shape metal.Typical Duties:Reads job descriptions to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.Positions workpiece; sets, stops, or guides pieces according to specifications.Observes machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunctions.Measures workpiece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation.Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:1-4+ years' experience operating a plasma or gas burning table.Previous crane operation experience preferred.Ability to troubleshoot operating issues on burning equipment.Ability to interpret drawings.Ability to perform work with minimal to no supervision with minimal errors.Basic math skills.Ability to read a tape measure.Legible printing/handwriting skills.In addition, full-time employees are offered a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental and vision plans covering eligible employees and dependents, disability benefits, life and AD&D insurance, an employee assistance program (EAP), a 401 (k) plan with company match, an employee stock purchase plan (ESPP), a robust wellness program and adaption assistance.At Matrix, we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace.
