Building SupervisorProvide building supervision of evening activities to facilitate safe use of school buildings by district staff and community members. Wage: $21.22 per hour. Office location: District Office and may be assigned to other District buildings. Essential functions of the job may include but are not limited to the following: Provide supervision and provide building security during scheduled Community Education and community activities at all school district buildings, including Thompson Park Activity Center and Branch Out. Set up facility user group meetings as needed. Assist evening and weekend building users with access to rooms, and other general tasks as needed. Represent the district in a positive and professional manner. Provide information on Community Education building activities to community users. Report any issues or complaints to Community Education director. Provide weekly updates to the Community Education Director. Perform other general duties as assigned to accomplish the objectives and goals of the program. Other functions of the job include but are not limited to the following: Attend program meetings and professional development as required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent. Knowledge and experience working with diverse community organizations and groups including Adults with different abilities.
Experience working with culturally, economically and socially diverse families. Must demonstrate positive interpersonal skills and communicate effectively with families, staff, and community agencies. Must be available for day, evening, occasional weekend events and variable hours during the summer. Proven ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others. Ability to work independently and discern and accept appropriate decision making authority as relates to the duties of the position. Ability to understand and follow data privacy rules and regulations related to students and staff and maintain confidentiality and professionalism as it relates to handling and knowledge of sensitive program and district information. Ability to anticipate action steps and provide follow-through to see an assignment through to completion. Must have the ability and proven record of reporting to work on a regular and punctual basis. Physical Requirements: General office working conditions, using close vision, walking, and talking; frequently using keyboard to input information into computer, reaching with arms and hands; presenting information to students and lifting up to 20 pounds.
