Facilities Support & Special Events Associate
Prestigious Museum - New York, NY
Join a prestigious museum and help support the daily operations and special events that create exceptional experiences for visitors and staff. We are seeking dependable, physically capable individuals to provide facilities and event support at our New York location.
What You'll Do

  • Set up, break down, and reconfigure furniture, fixtures, staging, podiums, and event equipment.
  • Support internal moves for offices, galleries, storage areas, and event spaces.
  • Transport materials, supplies, signage, stanchions, and equipment throughout the facility.
  • Assist with waste collection, recycling, and bulk material removal.
  • Monitor facilities for cleanliness, safety, and operational readiness.
  • Support maintenance activities, shutdowns, and space reconfigurations.
  • Provide logistical support for evening, weekend, and high-profile museum events.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in facilities support, building services, event setup, logistics, or a related field.
  • Ability to lift, move, and transport equipment and furniture weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Professional appearance, strong communication skills, and a customer-service mindset.
  • Basic knowledge of workplace safety practices.
  • Ability to pass required background investigations and security screening.
Schedule
Full-time, 40 hours per week.
Standard schedule: Friday-Tuesday, 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Flexibility is required for occasional evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays based on operational and event needs.
