Building Automation Systems (BAS) ProgrammerWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Building Automation Systems (BAS) Programmer to design, develop, and support building automation systems using company tools and operating protocols. This role plays a key part in delivering efficient, reliable, and scalable building control solutions across commercial environments.Key ResponsibilitiesProgram DDC modules to meet precise sequences of operationConfigure and integrate systems across multiple vendors using open and proprietary platformsDevelop system databases for reporting, alarming, and monitoringDesign intuitive graphical interfaces (HMI) for end-user interactionFollow departmental standards for programming, naming conventions, graphics and backupsAnalyze project specifications and design BAS solutions accordinglySupport installed systems through troubleshooting and service workAssist with product selection, system design, and cost-effective solution developmentPrepare submittals, schedules and turnover documentationServe as a technical resource for internal teams and customersParticipate in job site walkthroughs, including critical environmentsDesign complex BAS network architectures integrating systems via LON, Ethernet, Modbus, or BACnetGenerate DDC point databases and startup documentationSupport commissioning and validation processesMaintain organized project documentation and job filesCreate clear, functional HMI screens for complex systemsPerform field work as needed, including system startup and checkoutCollaborate with team members and participate in departmental meetingsQualificationsExperience4+ years of experience with HVAC systems and building controls in commercial environmentsStrong understanding of engineering fundamentals and system operationsProven experience in programming, system startups, commissioning and troubleshootingEducationHigh School diploma or GED required (with relevant experience), orBachelor's degree in Engineering (preferred)Technical SkillsProficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)AutoCAD knowledge is a plusStrong BAS programming and integration experienceCommunicationStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to collaborate effectively with internal teams, contractors, and clientsAdditional SkillsHighly organized with strong attention to detailAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesIndependent design capability for medium to large, complex projectsAbility to perform onsite system startup and checkoutMust demonstrate integrity and the ability to handle sensitive and proprietary informationWork Environment & Physical RequirementsMix of office and fieldwork at construction sites and facilitiesOccasional exposure to outdoor conditions, mechanical equipment, and construction environmentsMay require standing, walking, climbing, or working in confined or elevated spacesAbility to operate computers, drafting tools and standard office equipmentWhy Join Us?At IKM Building Solutions, we value innovation, precision, and collaboration.
