Responsibilities
- Provides leadership, administration, and oversight of the University's Building Automation System (BAS), HVAC control systems, and related building management technologies.
- Supervises assigned skilled trades personnel and coordinates vendors and contractors.
- Plans preventive and deferred maintenance programs.
- Monitors building system performance and ensures compliance with codes and regulations.
- Conducts facility assessments and prepares recommendations regarding system upgrades and improvements.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in building automation systems, HVAC controls, facilities maintenance, mechanical systems, or a closely related field.
- Supervisory experience is preferred.
- Experience administering commercial building automation systems and energy management systems is preferred.
- An associate's or bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, HVAC Technology, Facilities Management, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Valid driver's license. Must maintain an acceptable driving record in accordance with University requirements.
- Building Automation System, HVAC, or related industry certifications are preferred.
