As a Broker Payable Commission Analyst, youll help ensure outside brokers receive accurate, timely commission payments that reflect their agreements. Your work will support dependable broker relationships, accurate financial reporting, and consistent payment practices.
Youll manage monthly commission calculations and reconciliations, maintain agreement and payment data, and serve as the primary contact for broker commission questions and disputes. Working with regional and agency teams, Finance, and Accounting, youll independently research discrepancies, determine appropriate resolutions, and help improve the systems that support commission processing.
Prepare supporting documentation for accruals and journal entries to support accurate financial reporting and internal controls.
Lead system enhancements that improve commission processing and provide ad hoc commission and financial analysis.
Protect confidential broker, banking, client, and company information.
Organized and dependable when balancing monthly deadlines, multiple agreements, and high volumes of data.
Discreet and trustworthy when handling sensitive financial and business information.
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
~ Knowledge of broker commission structures, payment terms, audits, reconciliations, accruals, and variance analysis.
~ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when managing monthly deadlines, multiple agreements, and high-volume data.
~ Proficiency with accounting systems and Agency Management Systems, such as Business Central, Epic, and BenefitPoint, along with Microsoft Excel.
~ Ability to handle confidential broker, banking, client, and company information appropriately.
