Bridge CarpenterWe are seeking an experienced Bridge Carpenter to support bridge and structural concrete construction projects. This role is responsible for assisting with a variety of tasks including forming, pouring, finishing, stripping, and general labor duties related to bridge construction. The ideal candidate will have experience working in heavy civil construction, be comfortable working outdoors in physically demanding conditions, and be committed to maintaining a safe and productive jobsite.ResponsibilitiesAssist with the construction, installation, and removal of concrete forms for bridge decks, walls, columns, caps, footings, and other structural componentsPerform general carpentry duties related to bridge and concrete structure workRead and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the scope of workMeasure, mark, and cut materials to the required size and shapeEnsure that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest level of qualityCommunicate regularly with other crew members and subcontractors to ensure that work is completed on schedule and within budgetDevelop and maintain relationships with crew members and subcontractors to ensure that they are aware of project schedules and deadlinesIdentify and resolve issues that arise during construction projectsOther duties as assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in carpentry preferredPrevious experience in bridge construction, concrete form carpentry, heavy civil construction, or general construction labor preferredExperience working with form systems, concrete placement, and structural carpentry preferredAbility to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specificationsStrong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiencesStrong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze project data and identify trends and opportunities for improvementExperience with government contracts and compliance is a plusA commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplaceEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities
