As a Bridge Cad Technician, you will create electronic design plans using computer software and work closely with Engineers to turn blueprints and technical drawings into 2D/3D computer models.Core responsibilities for the role include:Prioritize work to meet various project requests and deadlines, answering to various engineers and project managersDrafting and design work for a variety of projects across multiple disciplinesWorking in structural detailing, bridge plans, drainage structures, retaining walls, and other transportation structures associated itemsDeveloping 3-dimensional models of transportation structures using 2D technical drawingsCreate/Modify technical drawings of roads, bridges, pipelines, etc.Collaborate with engineers to ensure that the drawings are correct and represent the design accuratelyCompiling and maintaining the entire plan set of technical drawingsQualifications, skills, and competencies include:0-3 years of relevant experienceKnowledge of Microstation InRoads and/or OpenRoads preferred (Willing to train)Knowledge of AutoCAD/Civil 3DManage project data files from various sourcesWillingness to learn how to read and interpret construction drawings; ability to think 3-dimensionallyMust be able to work independently with the ability to accomplish multiple tasks, with competing prioritiesBe a professional, creative, team-focused individual that works well with others in a team environmentBe enthusiastic, dedicated, and self-disciplined to work effectively in a fast-paced environmentAssociate's degree or equivalent technical degreeWhy would a candidate want this job?
