National Plaintiff-Side Employment Litigation Practice
Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid Considered) Compensation: $170,000 - $200,000 Base Salary + Performance Bonus
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Active Texas Bar license
- Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing at a law firm
- Strong litigation background
- Exceptional legal research and writing skills
- Experience drafting substantive motions and legal briefs
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
Preferred:
- Employment law experience
- Wage and hour litigation experience
- Class action or collective action experience
- Appellate experience
- Complex commercial litigation background

What You'll Be Doing
Advanced Legal Research & Writing
- Draft dispositive motions
- Prepare appellate briefs
- Develop class and collective certification briefing
- Research emerging legal issues
- Prepare legal memoranda and strategy analyses
- Draft discovery-related motions and responses
Litigation Strategy
- Analyze complex factual and legal issues
- Develop persuasive litigation positions
- Collaborate with trial attorneys on case strategy
- Evaluate risk and litigation exposure
- Assist in preparing cases through trial and appeal
Case Involvement
Depending on experience and interest, opportunities may include:
- Depositions
- Motion hearings
- Oral argument
- Client strategy discussions
- Case management responsibilities
Candidates do not need prior wage and hour experience to be successful in this role. Outstanding writing ability, strong litigation instincts, and a passion for advocacy are the most important qualifications.
