- Carilion Clinic Breast Care Center is adding a Breast Imager to its comprehensive program of dedicated expertise in breast imaging, surgery, pathology, and operations.
- A highly innovative practice environment exists in collaboration with the Virginia Tech School of Medicine.
- The Breast Care Center includes a nationally recognized quality program and five outreach screening locations.
- The center performs 27,000 screening mammograms annually and 35,000 exams annually.
- A dedicated diagnostic center, 8,500 square feet, with a new Cancer Center opening in 2027, features separate interpretation areas for optimal breast interpretation.
- Programmatic advances include a high-risk genetics program with a dedicated genetics counselor and two interdisciplinary patient care conferences.
Responsibilities
- Perform screening mammograms (3D)
- Perform diagnostic mammograms (3D)
- Conduct Ultrasound US Invasive procedures including needle localization, needle core biopsy, and cyst aspiration
- Perform Stereotactic imaging for core biopsy
- Conduct Galactography
- Perform Breast MRI
- Conduct MR guided core biopsies
- Opportunity to teach and mentor medical students
- Opportunity to conduct original clinical research (not required)
Compensation
- Min Starting Salary: $531,000
- Max Starting Salary: $700,000
- Eligible to participate in the Tier 1 and Tier 2 bonus compensation programs to improve the minimum salary
- Historical averages of Tier 1 and Tier 2 bonus earnings are included in the maximum salary
- Incentive Pay: Base Salary plus two-tier bonus plan
- Signing Bonus: Yes
- Relocation Paid: Yes
