Breast Imaging Radiologist

Northwell Health is seeking a fellowship-trained or similarly experienced Breast Imaging Radiologist for an in-person or hybrid position on Long Island, New York. This role offers a subspecialized breast imaging focus with no general radiology call, utilizing state-of-the-art technology in a supportive environment. The position provides opportunities for rapid advancement, leadership, and involvement in resident and fellow education.

• Subspecialized breast imaging position with no general radiology call or coverage.
• State-of-the-art breast imaging centers with advanced technology and equipment.
• System-wide IT infrastructure and PACS with advanced technical support.
• Comprehensive women's imaging services including screening and diagnostic breast imaging, image-guided breast biopsy, and tumor-localization.
• Every exam is read/interpreted by a breast radiologist.
• Collaboration with Northwell's breast specialists in surgery, medical oncology, radiation oncology, pathology, and genetics.

Responsibilities

• Read/interpret every exam to ensure accuracy with state-of-the-art equipment.
• Minimize radiation exposure while maximizing ability to visualize organs, function, and disease processes.
• Collaborate closely with Northwell's breast specialists for comprehensive care.
• Advance the field through research on imaging technology and the basic science of breast cancer.
• Educate residents and fellows.

• MD/DO
• Fellowship trained or similarly experienced in Breast Imaging
• Faculty appointment at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell
