Brand Manager & D2C Sales Specialist – Sustainable Luxury Western Footwear
Location: Texas, United States
Preferred Locations: Dallas–Fort Worth, Austin, or Houston
Work Arrangement: Hybrid / Remote, with travel throughout Texas
Employment Type: Full-Time or Independent Contractor
About Us
We’re building a Western footwear brand with a different perspective on luxury. Inspired by Texas cowboy culture and the distinctive beauty of Bolivian pirarucu (arapaima) leather, our goal is to create boots that bring together tradition, craftsmanship, and individuality.
We believe a great pair of boots should be more than something you wear. It should have a story behind it.
We’re developing an exclusive collection of handcrafted exotic leather boots that connects the spirit of the American West with the heritage and character of South America. Through our online store, social media, and in-person events across Texas, we want to bring that story directly to our customers.
As we prepare to launch, we’re looking for someone who shares our vision and wants to help turn it into a brand people recognize, trust, and are proud to wear.
The Role
As our Brand Manager & D2C Sales Specialist, you’ll help bring the brand to life in Texas. You’ll be responsible for growing our customer base, building relationships, creating memorable brand experiences, and turning interest in our products into sales.
This is an opportunity to join a brand in its early stages and have a real say in how it grows. Rather than following an established playbook, you’ll help build one—finding the right customers, exploring new sales opportunities, and figuring out what makes our brand stand out in the luxury Western market.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys taking initiative, connecting with people, and turning good ideas into real results.
What You’ll Do
Grow Our Online Sales
- Help grow our online store through Shopify, social media, and other direct-to-consumer channels.
- Find creative ways to reach new customers and turn interest into purchases.
- Improve the customer experience, from the first time someone discovers our brand to the moment they receive their boots.
- Track sales and marketing results to understand what’s working and where we can improve.
Bring the Brand to Life at Events
- Find opportunities to showcase our boots at Texas rodeos, Western festivals, pop-up shops, and private events.
- Build relationships with event organizers and secure opportunities that put our products in front of the right audience.
- Help organize and run events, from planning and product displays to meeting customers and closing sales.
- Explore partnerships with retailers, stylists, and other businesses that align with our brand.
Tell Our Story
- Help customers understand what makes Bolivian pirarucu leather distinctive, including its texture, origins, and material characteristics.
- Find authentic ways to connect our South American heritage with the traditions of the American West.
- Work on social media content, marketing campaigns, and collaborations that reflect our brand’s identity.
- Make sure the brand feels consistent, distinctive, and premium wherever customers encounter it.
Build Relationships With Our Customers
- Develop relationships with customers who appreciate quality, craftsmanship, and distinctive products.
- Provide personalized service and help customers find the right boots for their style and needs.
- Build a network of repeat customers, referrals, and private clients.
- Connect with relevant influencers and people in the Western lifestyle and luxury markets.
Help Build Our Texas Presence
- Coordinate product availability and inventory for local events.
- Share customer feedback and market insights with the founding team.
- Identify new opportunities to grow throughout Texas.
- Take ownership of sales goals, track progress, and help shape our next steps.
What We’re Looking For
- At least 3 years of experience in luxury retail, fashion sales, direct-to-consumer sales, or brand management.
- Experience with Western footwear, exotic leather goods, luxury accessories, or premium lifestyle brands is a major plus.
- A genuine understanding of Texas Western culture and the customers who are part of it.
- Familiarity with Shopify, social commerce, digital marketing and online sales.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to turn conversations into sales.
- A natural ability to tell a product’s story and explain what makes it special.
- Someone who is proactive, resourceful, and comfortable working independently.
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel throughout Texas for events and business opportunities.
Most importantly, we want someone who sees the potential in what we’re building and is excited to help make it happen.
What We Offer
- Competitive base compensation, depending on experience and employment arrangement.
- Performance-based commissions tied to online and in-person sales.
- Flexibility and the freedom to take ownership of your work.
- The opportunity to work directly with the founding team and help shape the direction of the brand.
- A chance to build something from the ground up in the growing intersection of luxury footwear, Western culture, and distinctive materials.
Salary, commission structure, and employment terms will be discussed with candidates during the hiring process.
Who We’d Love to Meet
We’re looking for someone who is ambitious, personable, and comfortable wearing different hats. You might be working on an online campaign one day, meeting customers at a Western event the next, and developing a new partnership the day after that.
You understand that building a successful luxury brand takes more than a good product. It takes relationships, attention to detail, a clear identity, and a genuine understanding of the people you serve.
If you enjoy bringing ideas to life, building connections, and being part of a brand from its earliest stages, we’d love to hear from you.
