Industrial Sewing Machine OperatorWe are seeking an experienced Pattern Cutter / Industrial Sewing Machine Operator to join an upholstery manufacturing team in Elkhorn, WI. This position is responsible for cutting, sewing, and assembling fabric components used in custom furniture products. The ideal candidate will have prior industrial sewing, upholstery, or pattern-cutting experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to produce high-quality work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Industrial Sewing Machine Operator Responsibilities:Cut and sew upholstery fabrics according to patterns, measurements, and production specificationsOperate industrial sewing machines and related upholstery equipment safely and efficientlyAssemble and stitch fabric components using appropriate sewing techniquesFollow patterns, work instructions, and specifications to ensure accurate and consistent resultsMeasure and cut materials accurately to minimize wasteInspect fabric components and finished pieces for defects or quality concernsIdentify issues with stitching, measurements, fit, or appearancePerform repairs and rework as needed to meet quality standardsEnsure finished products meet appearance, fit, and durability requirementsMove fabrics, materials, and finished products throughout the departmentPrepare and package completed products for shipment or storageMaintain an organized and efficient workstationProperly store materials, tools, and equipmentPerform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of sewing and cutting equipmentPerform basic troubleshooting when equipment issues ariseReport equipment problems to supervision promptly to minimize downtimeWork collaboratively with team members to meet production goals and deadlinesCommunicate quality concerns, material issues, and production challenges to supervisors or team leadsAssist with other departmental duties and cross-training as neededRequirements for Industrial Sewing Machine Operator:Previous industrial sewing experience strongly preferredUpholstery, furniture, mattress, or similar manufacturing experience is a plusExperience with pattern cutting and fabric measurement preferredAbility to read and follow patterns, work instructions, and production specificationsStrong attention to detail and consistent stitching abilityBasic math and measurement skillsGood communication and teamwork skillsStrong work ethic, reliability, and pride in quality craftsmanshipHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredAbility to lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 poundsAbility to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive hand and arm movementsFrequent standing and walking throughout the workdayFrequent bending, reaching, and repetitive hand and arm movementsAbility to safely operate industrial sewing and cutting equipmentAbility to regularly lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds
