Daikin Comfort Technologies Distribution, Inc. is seeking a professional, skilled individual for the Branch Manager Trainee position for the Branch Operations group located in Valley View, OH. The Branch Manager Trainee’s responsibilities include taking direction from multiple sources to learn all aspects of branch operations and the Branch Manager position. This will include either shadowing or fulfilling the duties of each role within the branch up to and including graduation to the role of Branch Manager. The BMT is a strong team player, results oriented, has a dedication to excellence and a sense of urgency to achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities
- Help the branch build its sales, including the new business component, by maintaining house accounts through active dealer communication of new product launches, services, supplies, prices and new product sales and/or discounts via outbound calls and in-house counter discussions. Conduct outbound calls of existing and lost customer accounts.
- Maintain sales programs within the assigned territory by keeping customers informed about available services, supplies, prices and new products.
- Provide excellent customer service via walk-ins, phone calls and e-mails.
- Execute all aspects of the sales function including order processing, purchase orders, payment processing, quotes and delivery dates; ensure accuracy of information to guarantee correct item(s) are ordered.
- Periodically reach out to customers to determine satisfaction with the organization, products and services.
- Maintain records and prepare reports on sales activities and manage inventory levels.
- Expand knowledge of HVAC products and stay current with industry trends.
- Learn the roles and responsibilities of all branch functions, including CSRs/Inside Sales Representatives, Warehouse Associates, Drivers and Branch Manager.
- Work positively with all levels of management and peers to ensure cross-functional alignment and high service levels.
- Ensure the branch showroom is adequately stocked, cleaned and organized and that safety hazards are minimized in the showroom and warehouse.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to learn and demonstrate knowledge of the complete branch operations within 8–12 months and be ready to move into a Branch Manager position after training.
- Excellent customer service and relationship management skills via walk-ins, phone and email; positive, professional attitude with ability to diffuse difficult situations.
- Strong listening, professionalism, patience and tact.

- Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to prioritize and multi-task.

- Knowledge of HVAC equipment/products is preferred.

Experience
- 1–3 years of customer service, retail or HVAC experience preferred.
Education/Certification
- Bachelor’s degree in business preferred; degree in Business, Sales, HVAC related field or equivalent experience.
