Airgas Dry Ice is Hiring for a Branch Manager in Sacramento, CA. Airgas Dry Ice is the largest wholesale dry ice distributor to grocery stores in the United States. Penguin Brand Dry Ice is the retail dry ice sales program of Airgas Dry Ice. We serve over 4,000 grocery stores on a direct store delivery basis coast to coast.

Overview

The Branch Manager oversees daily store operations to achieve or advance sales and margin goals. This involves promoting sales, delivering excellent customer service, nurturing inventory levels, and balancing expenses through purchase support. The Branch Manager fosters facility and staff alignment to safety and regulatory standards, empowering team members in providing efficient customer service, maintaining good housekeeping, and harmonizing overall operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional customer service for all internal and external customers and call-in product, pricing, and technical inquiries.
• Support the outside sales team in nurturing existing client relationships and welcoming new business opportunities.
• Support the flow of accurate and timely daily processing of financial transactions, including cash reports, charge tickets, coding, costing, pricing, daily cash summaries, and bank deposits.
• Maintain the accuracy of back order, open order, and Purchase Order (PO) expedite reports.
• Cultivate and refine appropriate cylinder and hard goods inventory levels for the branch.
• Facilitate and lead training for inside sales associates on product knowledge, company policies, processes, procedures, and safety, ensuring the confidence that all associates can perform essential branch functions.
• Conduct periodic performance reviews for branch associates.
• Act as a bridge between employees and management, providing performance mentorship and guidance in collaboration with Human Resources.

Are you a MATCH? (Qualifications)

Required

• Previous management experience in a customer facing environment
• Background in supporting and leading teams within a retail or industrial distribution environment
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and occasionally up to 125 lbs with the aid of material handling equipment
• Proficient computer skills and an interest in learning new digital tools, with the ability to navigate multiple priorities concurrently
• Self-motivated with a focus on contributing to the overall team's success
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively act as a bridge between staff and management

Preferred

• 3+ years' experience in the welding or safety industry
• 3+ years' experience in sales with proven success
