Branch Manager - Respiratory

Branch ManagerThis position offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus. The Branch Manager ensures the provision of safe, effective respiratory service and products to patients at home including therapeutics, diagnostics, and respiratory equipment. This is a field-based, hands-on respiratory therapist/leadership position that requires a candidate with the drive and skill to be an excellent clinician, patient advocate, and positive representative of PromptCare. This responsibility extends to a 24-hour basis in coordination with the department Director. It also extends to a 24-hour / 7-day basis in accordance with the nature of care which PromptCare provides.Reports to: Regional Director of Respiratory OperationsJob Type: Full-Time, ExemptJob Location: Elmsford, NYRequirements:Must be a graduate of an accredited Respiratory School and must have current Respiratory Care Practitioner state licensure in the state inquiring of employment and in good standingMust be willing to get cross-licensed in other states as determined by the Regional Director of Respiratory Operations, at the company's expenseMust have a valid driver's license and automobile insurance in good standingAt least 5 years' experience as a working Respiratory Therapist is required.

Experience in the Homecare/DME setting is highly desirableMust have the desire and skill to manage a team of Respiratory Therapists. Previous experience managing RTs in the field is highly desirableCRTT certification is highly desirableCurrent CPR certification is requiredBasic understanding of financial reporting is highly desirableJob Responsibilities, included but not limited to:Confidentiality and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Regulations:Keep patient and financial information confidential in accordance with company procedures and HIPAA regulations.Ensures the privacy and security of health informationSupervision and Collaboration:Train and educate new staff members, documenting their orientation.Collaborate with the Distribution Managers and Director of Purchasing to properly manage inventory and equipment needsWork closely with the Regional Director on branch operationsWork closely with the Regional Director of Sales on new patient startsManage scheduling and dispatching of RTs, RTAs and Technicians in Brightree, Transport Manager and Brightree Mobile DeliveryCollaborates with Sales Executives and Liaisons to ensure patients are scheduled and set on a timely basis for the achievement of Branch growth goalsFosters an environment of growth as part of the Regional Leadership TeamPlan of Service/Care:Ensure proper initiation, implementation, and evaluation of patient Plans of ServiceTriage patient issues and new dischargesIn collaboration with the Regional Director of Operations, the Branch Manager leads in implementing clinical and organizational process changesContinuity of Care:Assist with scheduling new hospital and outpatient set-ups and follow-up visitsParticipate in on-call rotationsPhysical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
