Branch Sales Manager – 3PL Transportation

Location: Houston, Texas

Reports to: Executive Vice President

We are hiring a Branch Sales Manager for a growing and highly regarded organization in the 3PL transportation industry.

This is a true builder role for an entrepreneurial sales leader with experience opening a new branch, launching a market or building a transportation operation from the ground up.

The successful candidate will establish the organization’s Houston presence, build a customer pipeline, develop enterprise accounts and recruit and lead a high-performing sales team. The position will begin remotely and transition to a hybrid or office-based environment as the branch grows.

Key Responsibilities

• Launch and grow the Houston branch.
• Develop new business across truckload, intermodal, warehousing, air and ocean services.
• Build relationships with key decision-makers and enterprise customers.
• Recruit, coach and lead a team of Account Managers.
• Manage sales strategy, pipeline, pricing, RFPs and account profitability.
• Partner with operations to deliver an excellent customer experience.
• Oversee the branch’s daily operations as the local team expands.

Qualifications

• Experience opening a branch, launching a market or building a territory within 3PL transportation.
• Strong freight brokerage or 3PL sales experience.
• At least five years of sales leadership experience.
• Proven success hiring and developing sales professionals.
• Strong knowledge of transportation markets, carrier networks and pricing.
• Established knowledge of the Houston market.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building and negotiation skills.
