Job Overview
The Branch Manager SAFE Act is a senior management professional responsible for providing full leadership and direction to a team of employees, growing sales and client base in coordination with the consumer sales team. The overall objective of this role is to lead a team, grow sales, build customer loyalty and recommend the development of business strategies or initiatives. The role may include management of activities by external organizations and direct management of individuals and sales teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop a sales plan and drive individual production goals, including building a referral network and relationships with internal partners and external contacts
- Create an environment through activity-based coaching and performance development; implement coaching plans to develop employees’ skills to achieve personal and branch goals
- Develop and execute integrated sales, relationship, and credit strategies aligned with Retail Bank priorities; execute the business plan to achieve goals in all business categories
- Support portfolio growth by identifying opportunities to deepen relationships and increase client acquisition; ensure clients receive optimal service and monitor adherence to operational controls
- Collaborate with branch partners to achieve goals, build customer relationships and deliver customer service
- Leverage workforce planning to optimize staffing and set expectations for branch staff, fostering teamwork to achieve business goals
- Integrate segment partners with the Assistant Manager and the Division Operational teams to drive sales and outbound activities; represent Citi and build community partnerships
- Conduct daily risk/proof processes to ensure adherence to operational requirements; investigate controllable losses and provide coaching
- Lead hiring, performance management, compensation, communication and employee evaluation of branch staff
- Plan and participate in budgeting and policy formulation; engage in short-term resource planning
- Assess risk in business decisions, safeguard Citi and its clients and assets, enforce compliance with laws and regulations, and escalate and report control issues; supervise others and hold them accountable to standards
Qualifications
- 6-10 years of relevant experience required
- Previous experience in banking or financial industry preferred
- Sales management experience preferred
- Registered or willing to register as mortgage loan originator with Nationwide Mortgage Licensing
- Obtain or willing to obtain unique identifier from Registry
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytic skills
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- Master’s degree preferred
