Position Summary The Producing Branch Manager’s primary focus is to drive revenue and manage risk within their branch while building a book of business. Responsibilities include maintaining superior client service, developing cohesive teams, providing leadership, and assuming accountability for branch results. The role emphasizes recruitment and retention of Financial Advisors. The manager reports directly to the Market Executive or Non‑Producing Branch Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Build a client base of high net worth households through prospecting, developing new relationships, and managing long‑term accounts.
  • Help manage client investment needs consistent with firm policies and industry requirements.
  • Stay current on regulatory requirements, financial markets, and new products.
  • Use deep knowledge of firm products and partner offerings to drive sales and recruit talent.
  • Translate competitor offerings into firm products, explaining how recruits will meet client needs.
  • Leverage firm initiatives to grow business and drive sales, focusing on relationships with corporate departments and strategic partners.
  • Drive corporate marketing initiatives to increase market share in high net worth households.
  • Build an effective team, communicate timely information, and conduct regular meetings.
  • Participate in regional and market initiatives, including sales, hiring, recruitment, diversity, and outreach.
  • Grow the branch through hiring, lateral recruiting, and training.
  • Lead by example, ensuring the branch meets U.S. Wealth Management Group objectives, maintains positive morale, ethical practices, and a commitment to diversity.
  • Identify trends, growth opportunities, and weaknesses, and address them to position the branch competitively.
  • Lead sales efforts, results, and client‑centered approaches.
  • Identify and develop key talent, leveraging firm resources for success.
  • Coach and mentor Financial Advisors to drive results.
  • Own the branch’s sales and financial performance, regulatory and compliance issues, and risk management.
  • Follow supervisory procedures and execute the annual supervisory plan, communicating performance status to the Market Executive or Non‑Producing Branch Manager.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent education/experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Financial Advisor with satisfactory production and compliance record, or comparable branch management or product area experience.
  • Active Series 7, 8 (or 9 and 10), 66 (or 63 and 65), and 3 registrations (Series 31 acceptable for managed futures only). Other licenses as required.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Critical thinking ability.
  • Team management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Interpersonal skills with senior management, advisors, support staff, clients, and corporate personnel.
  • Project ownership at branch level.
  • Organizational and prioritization abilities; meets deadlines and completes projects.

Reporting Structure

  • Reports to Market Executive or Non‑Producing Branch Manager.
  • Direct reports: Resident Managers, Financial Advisors, Branch Support Staff.
