Job Summary
Be a problem solver, trusted advisor, and partner to the people and businesses in our Key Bank communities. The Branch Manager builds, coaches, and motivates a team that delivers excellent client service, analyzes client needs, and recommends financial solutions that help Key clients achieve confidence in their financial wellness and goals.
Essential Functions
- Embodies a strong client‑experience culture, engaging with every client and teammate.
- Conducts outside calling to small business clients, delivering the full depth and breadth of Key products and services.
- Develops centers of influence and networks in the community to generate prospective client referrals, focusing on small business.
- Accounts for growing the business through retention, expansion, and acquisition tactics and leads the branch team to achieve activity, behavior, and outcome expectations.
- Leads and develops the branch team, ensuring understanding of Key’s products, services, and sales process, while instilling Key’s vision and values.
- Facilitates strong partnerships within the branch team and with line‑of‑business partners, focusing on client acquisition and deepening relationships.
- Manages staffing, scheduling, recruiting, onboarding, and training of branch teammates, ensuring appropriate coverage.
- Delivers disciplined coaching and performance management via observational coaching, joint sales calls, and utilization of training tools.
- Provides guidance to ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and internal controls, completing all branch operations tasks on time.
- Works Saturdays as directed by management.
- Performs additional duties as assigned, which may change without notice.
- Complies with all KeyBank policies and procedures, acting professionally and ethically at all times.
Education
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent (required).
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferred).
Work Experience
- 3+ years in a sales capacity with demonstrated ability to lead and coach a successful sales team (required).
- 3+ years of small business deposit/credit experience and familiarity with small business operations (required).
- General understanding of financial statements and concepts (required).
- Experience with consumer credit, including loan‑to‑value, debt‑to‑income, and credit reports (required).
- Ability to leverage Centers of Influence (COIs) to promote business (required).
- Experience influencing business partners, such as Key Investment Services, Mortgage, and Business Banking sales professionals (required).
- Strong public‑speaking and communication skills (required).
Licenses and Certifications
- Notary License (preferred).

Compensation and Benefits
Base Salary: $69,000.00 - $105,000.00 annually. Compensation includes incentive opportunities such as production, commission, and discretionary incentives.
Eligible for full benefits package.
