Job Description: The Branch Manager is a leadership position responsible for all aspects of the branch operations to ensure customer satisfaction, growth, profitability, and successful employee management for the branch. The Branch Manager will develop, train, coach, motivate and mentor a high-performance team to meet branch goals and create a positive working environment for all team members.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Plan and lead all operations and delivery of construction services for the branch as follows:
    • Labor management (i.e., management of timecards, employee hiring, and disciplinary needs, employee onboarding, billing accuracy)
    • Fleet and equipment management
    • Safety management and enforcement
  • Accountable for achieving sales goals related to growth and profitability annually
  • Manage overhead goals set forth annually
  • Oversee company resources to meet established performance goals
  • Manage DP weigh-ins, unbilled backlog, billing worksheets, and WIP schedule
  • Oversee labor for each prevailing and recovery job
  • Assist the business development team with scope reviews related to new business opportunities, contract negotiation, and execution
  • Work directly with Talent Acquisition on hiring needs for all branch positions as needed
  • Administer all employee discipline and termination needs that may arise at the respective branch
  • Ensure branch field teams consistently provide excellent customer service via regular communication including:
    • Proactive email updates, phone calls, turnover walk meetings, proactive punch lists

Qualifications/ Skills

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in landscape construction or a related field with an emphasis on strong customer interfacing skills
  • Possess a passion to coach, train, motivate, and disciplining team members, which will support career growth and development
  • Ability to speak Spanish is a plus
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and virtual meeting sources (Zoom, Teams)
  • Familiar with plant and tree identification
  • Possess a willingness to learn landscape construction management practices that will provide an elevated level of efficiency for our teams and customers
