Handy Rents is a fast-growing, locally owned equipment rental company with multiple locations across Northeast Ohio. We're looking for a business-minded leader who thinks like an owner and can run a branch like it's their own business—driving sales, developing people, improving operations, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

What You'll Do

• Lead and develop a branch team, including counter staff, drivers, yard technicians, and mechanics.
• Create a positive, high-performance culture aligned with our core values.
• Oversee daily operations, including rentals, returns, deliveries, shop workflow, and fleet readiness.
• Ensure equipment is clean, safe, and maintained to company standards.
• Drive revenue growth, profitability, and equipment utilization.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, labor budgets, and expense control.
• Build strong customer relationships and support inside and outside sales efforts.
• Resolve customer issues with professionalism, urgency, and a solutions-oriented mindset.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional store, showroom, and yard.

Who We're Looking For

Candidates with experience in equipment rental, tool rental, construction, contractor supply, industrial distribution, heavy equipment, building materials, commercial landscaping supply, fleet operations, or closely related industries will be given strong preference.

• 1+ years of leadership or management experience required
• Experience in equipment rental, contractor supply, industrial distribution, building materials, heavy equipment, fleet operations, construction services, or a closely related industry strongly preferred.
• A problem-solver who can make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• A strong communicator who can motivate, develop, and hold a team accountable.
• Organized, dependable, customer-focused, and able to succeed with a can-do attitude.
• Mechanical aptitude is a plus but not required.
• Valid driver's license required.

Schedule

Employees are expected to work a typical 45–50-hour workweek, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Alternating Saturdays may be required.
