Branch ManagerTo direct the operations of a medium-sized, remote Credit Union facility, ensuring the branch meets organizational, financial, operational, service, and growth plans.This position reports to the Director of Branch Operations.Essential Functions and AccountabilitiesResponsible for the operation of the branch office with respect to quality service to members with all requestsHas a thorough knowledge of Credit Union policy and procedure and applies this knowledge in the operation and supervision of the branch. Holds employees accountable for standardsHires, reviews, schedules, trains, and monitors the work of branch personnel: conducts performance reviews; allocates resources to meet operational needs within the departmentMaintains branch change fund, daily deposits, credit union inventory, and replenishments of branch cashEngage members in meaningful financial conversations that include understanding what is important to them and recommend services, when appropriate, to improve their financial lives furtherRepresents the branch as appropriate in its relationships with members, sponsor organizations(s), suppliers, other financial institutions, and similar groupsServe as a role model for others on the team in providing an excellent experience for membersAct as a liaison between branch staff and leadershipKeep abreast of operational and regulatory changes that affect the branch officeFollow all policies and procedures required to maintain accuracy, manage risk, prevent fraud, and protect membersAssure proper maintenance, cleanliness, and security of the branchPerform other duties as leadership requires and assist other departments when necessaryPerformance ExpectationsProvide informed, professional, and accurate service and support to all members and associates.Be knowledgeable about services offered to Credit Union membersContribute to the overall efforts of the Credit Union in reaching its goals and objectives, which include:Providing quality service to Credit Union membersMeeting WFCU Service StandardsMaintaining efficient and productive credit union operationsExceed referral expectations for referrals to internal specialists.Coach and develop employees to identify cross-sales opportunitiesDemonstrate willingness to achieve professional growth through on-the-job training and educational opportunitiesDemonstrate willingness to participate in Credit Union related activitiesMaintain friendly working relationships with management and coworkersMaintain a dependable record of attendance and timelinessMinimum QualificationsHigh school graduateThree to five years of experience leading and managing a team of people in a full-service branchDesirable QualificationsA college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or apprenticeshipAdvanced computer skills; proficient MS OfficeExcellent time management skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to follow up with others regarding information needed or providedAbility to work independently, self-starter, energeticAble to handle highly confidential information with discretionDetail orientedAble to adhere to tight deadlinesAble to produce high-quality work in an efficient and timely mannerDemonstrate flexibility and adaptability by being able to discern between conflicting priorities and reprioritize as business needs dictateEmbraces changeDesirable TraitsProfessional presencePunctual, dependable, and cooperativePossess a positive demeanor and cooperative attitude in relations with members and employeesCommunicates with warmth and compassion while keeping the needs of the business as the primary focus.Physical and Mental DemandsPhysical activities involve those normally associated with working in an office environment: walking, standing, talking, and similar activities.Vision and hearing requirements, including close vision, ability to distinguish basic colors and/or shades, depth perception, ability to adjust focus, ability to hear telephone and/or in-person conversations and other vision and hearing demands.Ability to lift objects or exert force in pushing and pulling.Mental demands, including such requirements as reading documents, analyzing and solving problems, interpreting data or information, using math or mathematical reasoning, learning and applying new information and skills, performing highly detailed work, meeting changing and/or intensive deadlines, constant interruptions, multiple concurrent tasks and interacting with members/coworkers.This Job Description is not a complete statement of all duties and responsibilities comprising this position.
