The Role: Branch Manager

As the Brookfield Branch Manager, you will be the heartbeat of our local showroom and warehouse. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of branch functions and staff, focusing on customer satisfaction, team development, and operational profitability.

You are a strategic leader who balances a dynamic sales culture in the front-of-house with tight, safe, and efficient logistics in the back-of-house. Ultimately, you will drive the branch's success and champion our mission to be Connecticut's leading supplier of tile and stone.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead a Sales & Service Culture: Inspire, motivate, and hold your team accountable to high standards of customer service and sales goals.

Empower & Develop Talent: Drive the recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and continuous performance coaching of your branch team.

Cultivate Lasting Relationships: Establish strong rapport with local contractors, builders, designers, and retail customers.

Strategic Branch Decisions: Partner with leadership to manage product mix, set local pricing, and establish credit terms aligned with market demand.

Operational Excellence: Maintain proper inventory levels, authorize standard returns, manage branch scheduling, and ensure the showroom is pristine and welcoming.

Safety & Maintenance: Ensure the highest standards of safety, security, and physical maintenance are met in both the showroom and the warehouse.

Lead by Example: Be willing to roll up your sleeves and assist your team on the floor or in the warehouse when duty calls

Requirements

What We Are Looking For:

P roven Leadership: Solid management experience in retail, showroom, building materials, or high-volume hospitality environments, with a proven track record of meeting performance goals and developing staff.

Industry Knowledge: A background in tile, stone, design, or building materials is strongly preferred.

Relationship Builders: Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Strategic Thinkers: The ability to understand financial metrics (P&L) and align your branch's daily actions with the company’s long-term vision.

Tech Savvy: Strong comfort level with computer systems, point-of-sale software, and modern business tools.

Education/Training: Formal or informal training in interior design, architecture, or a Bachelor’s Degree is highly valued but not required.
